The Cheyenne Aquatic Center, located in Lions Park, has grown significantly since its origins as the Municipal Pool built in 1976. In 1992, the facility began one of many renovations aimed at expanding and improving services for the community. A major upgrade in 2015 modernized the 16,000-square-foot facility with new mechanical systems and updated locker rooms. This renovation also introduced a 7,400-square-foot zero-depth entry pool featuring a play structure and a lazy river, creating more opportunities for swimming lessons, fitness classes, and family open swim.

Today, the Aquatic Center features two indoor pools: a six-lane lap pool with a 13-foot diving well, rock wall, and diving board, as well as a zero-depth pool with three lap lanes and a lazy river. Beyond the indoor amenities, the facility also includes an outdoor spray park with over 20 water features and a playground suitable for all ages. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the Splash Pad located downtown at the Depot. While the outdoor attractions are seasonal, they remain a popular highlight for the community each year.
